When I enrolled, I received an email about my new City Lit account. Can I use that account to log in to Google Classroom?
No. The My City Lit and Google Classroom accounts are not the same.
My City Lit account allows you to enrol online, request refunds online and amend your personal details. We create your My City Lit account when you first enrol. This account is not linked to City Lit's educational platform.
Google Classroom account helps you join your class online. To access Google Classroom you will need to login using your student Google/G Suite account. This Google Classroom article will help you access your Google Classroom account.
I haven’t received any information about how to join the class
You should receive a course reminder email with joining instructions three days before the course starts and a day before your course starts, or your tutor should contact you with joining instructions.
If you enrol on the same as the course start date, you will receive an email shortly after you enrol.
If you cannot find any emails with joining instructions and don't know how to join your class, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find information from us, contact the department directly. You will find their email address on our course related contacts page.
I haven’t used my Google Classroom account for a long time and I cannot log in
Make sure you are logging into your City Lit Google account, not your personal account, following the guidance available on this Troubleshooting - switching accounts page.
If you haven’t used your City Lit student Google account for more than 2 years, your account may be inactive. Please email the Digital Learning team - firstname.lastname@example.org and they will reset your account.
