What is Office 365?
- Office 365 is a subscription that allows you access to Office Apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Office 365 is a subscription that is free during the academic year(s) your course is running. We will use the last day of your last enrolled course as the basis for the access period; for example: If your course ends on 1st January 2021, then access would end on 31st August 2021.
- Office 365 gives you the choice to download Microsoft applications on to a PC, Mac or a phone (this is optional, so you do not have to do this).
What will my user details look like?
Username is your student number@student.citylit.ac.uk e.g. 123456@student.citylit.ac.uk
Password is your date of birth in the format (ddMmmyyyy – e.g. 01Jan2000) – the first character in the month is a capital.
What if I am using Android/iPad apps on a mobile device?
Your access remains the same, when you first log in it will redirect you to office.com page – a demo will be uploaded on these pages shortly.
What is not changing?
This change will only affect courses that use Google Classroom.
There will be no change to how you join your live class sessions in Zoom; the links will come out to you as normal.
How long can I access my O365 account?
You can use Google Classroom and Microsoft Office 365 until 01 September.
Download your files and data before this date.
